Transportation Manager

John Evans Recruiting is conducting a search for a Transportation Manager for a food distribution company in South Baltimore. The Transportation Manager will lead 25+ drivers traveling throughout the DMV region to restaurants, delis, and gas stations. Our client company has an excellent, family-like culture, and it is important that the Transportation Manager is a strong fit for the company culture known to be relatable, genuine, friendly, and welcoming. Over half of the drivers have been with the company for many years, so the Transportation Manager will walk into a highly stable core team, that is growing with new drivers as well. Hours for this role are 6am-3:30pm in office Monday-Friday, with on-call hours on Saturdays. Requirements: 3+ years in a transportation management role leading 5-30+ drivers. Strong knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations and safety standards. Ability to work Saturdays, overtime, and holidays as needed. Food distribution industry experience is a plus but not required.
