Transportation Manager

Job Summary The Transportation Manager coordinates transportation and distribution activities, connecting supply chain planning with reliable movement of materials and orders. This role supports efficient warehouse distribution, freight operations, and order fulfillment while guiding teams and improving processes. Responsibilities Coordinate freight, warehouse distribution, materials management, and order fulfillment to support timely, accurate deliveries. Supervise transportation and warehouse activities, align demand planning with operational needs, and coordinate purchasing and procurement. Monitor budgets, work with 3PL partners, and use warehouse management systems, ERP systems, or AS400 to track operations. Identify process improvement and continuous improvement opportunities; support safe, appropriate forklift operations where relevant. Your impact: Clear coordination helps colleagues plan work and customers receive orders reliably. Experience Required: Practical capabilities in coordinating transportation, freight, order fulfillment, materials, and warehouse distribution; budgeting, purchasing, procurement, and supply chain planning; and using operational systems to track work and support process improvement. Supervising experience supports effective team coordination. Preferred: Experience with warehouse management systems, ERP systems, AS400, 3PL coordination, demand planning, and forklift operations, along with a continuous improvement mindset.
