Work requires contact with private entities. Employees at this level follow standard practices that do not require frequent supervision of details. Transportation Maintenance Tech II: Performs moderate complex transportation operations or maintenance support work such as: contract maintenance and material and process inspections; roadway maintenance and repair; operates light and heavy equipment operation; preventive and minor maintenance on equipment; traffic control; and helping the public during emergency situations. Work requires contact with private entities. Employees at this level follow perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor. Transportation Maintenance Tech III: Performs highly complex transportation operations or maintenance support work such as: contract maintenance and material and process inspections; roadway maintenance and repair; operates light and heavy equipment; preventive and minor maintenance on equipment; traffic control; and helping the public during emergency situations.
