Transportation Logistics Assistant

Job Summary Majestic Transportation is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Transportation Logistics Assistant to support daily transportation and logistics operations. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, good problem-solving abilities, and the ability to coordinate schedules, organize transportation information, and assist drivers and operations staff. In this role, you will help coordinate transportation schedules, monitor trip arrangements, maintain logistics records, communicate with drivers and customers, and support efficient daily operations. Your contribution will help ensure transportation services remain organized, timely, and reliable. Key Responsibilities Assist with coordinating daily transportation and logistics activities. Help organize pickup and delivery schedules, routes, and service arrangements. Communicate transportation assignments and schedule updates to drivers and dispatch staff. Assist with tracking vehicle availability and transportation requests. Maintain accurate trip records, delivery documents, and logistics reports. Monitor scheduled transportation activities and report delays or operational issues. Communicate with customers regarding pickup times, delivery updates, and service information. Help coordinate changes to routes, schedules, and transportation arrangements. Assist with preparing dispatch documents, work orders, and transportation paperwork. Organize electronic and physical records related to daily logistics operations. Report vehicle maintenance, equipment, or safety concerns to supervisors. Coordinate with drivers and internal departments to resolve routine scheduling issues. Assist with data entry and updating transportation management systems. Support administrative tasks related to transportation planning and service coordination. Maintain professional communication with customers, drivers, and business partners. Follow company policies, transportation procedures, and workplace safety guidelines. Requirements and Qualifications Previous experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, warehousing, or administration is preferred but not required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good organizational and time-management abilities. Basic computer skills and familiarity with email, spreadsheets, and scheduling software. Strong attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities. Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team. Good problem-solving and coordination skills. Ability to adapt to changing schedules and operational needs. Professional and customer-focused attitude. Work Environment This position primarily involves working in a transportation and logistics operations environment. Daily activities may include coordinating schedules, communicating with drivers, updating transportation records, monitoring service arrangements, and assisting with dispatch-related tasks. The role may require occasional coordination with warehouse personnel, customers, and field staff during busy operating periods.
