Job Description – For-Hire Long-Haul Truck Driver Company: Western Tracks Ltd. Position: Class 1 Long-Haul Truck Driver Operation: For-Hire Freight Transportation Service Area: Canada & USA Job Description: Operate commercial tractor-trailer combinations to transport general freight and refrigerated goods across Canada and the United States. Responsible for safe, efficient, and timely pickup and delivery of shipments while complying with Canadian NSC regulations and U.S. FMCSA requirements. Key Responsibilities: Operate Class 1 tractor-trailers on long-haul routes. Transport dry van and refrigerated freight. Perform daily pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections. Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and comply with Hours of Service regulations. Secure cargo and verify shipping documents. Complete cross-border paperwork, including PARS/PAPS documentation. Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and border officials.
