Transportation DMV Specialist 1 - Kanawha Co.

Nature of Work **Disclaimer-this position will be considered classified-exempt and “at will.” The DMV Specialist 1 will report to the Budget and Revenue Section of the Department of Motor Vehicles. Under general supervision, this position performs full-performance level clerical work assisting customers, answering inquiries, and providing information pertaining to the services provided by the WV Division of Motor Vehicles. Work involves knowledge, interpretation, and the application of motor vehicle laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications **Preference may be given to Candidates with these qualifications** TRAINING/EDUCATION Graduation from standard high school or the equivalent EXPERIENCE One year of full time or equivalent part time paid experience in bookkeeping, sales, cashiering or related public contact work. Substitution: College credit from an accredited college or university, business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS All applicants must consent to fingerprinting and a criminal background investigation.
