State of West VirginiaNature of Work Disclaimer-this position will be considered classified-exempt and “at will.” The Transportation DMV Agent 1 will report to the Winfield Regional Office for the Department of Motor Vehicles. Under general supervision, this position performs full-performance level public contact work involving the processing, recording, and issuance of drivers’ license, vehicle registration, vehicle titles, and related documents in a Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) regional office. Work involves knowledge, interpretation, and the application of motor vehicle laws, policies, and procedures. Performs related work as required. Minimum Qualifications Preference may be given to Candidates with these qualifications** Training/Education Graduation from standard high school or the equivalent. Experience One year of full time or equivalent part time paid experience in bookkeeping, cashiering, or related public contact work. Substitution: College credit from an accredited college or university, business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience. Additional Requirements A valid driver's license is required and must be maintained. Work schedules are assigned and rotated on a regular basis. Overtime Hours may be required.
