Transportation Coordinator –Direct Hire, Company Benefits, Growing Company!

 

Available Shifts

 

8am - 5pm Monday - Friday

 

Compensation

Pay Rate: $ per hour

 

As the Transportation Fleet Coordinator, you will be responsible for administering and managing a private fleet program consisting of drivers and equipment, which supports both internal transfers and customer movements. Position location is TBD, as the Fleet expands and new hubs are established. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

Support safety training and awareness initiatives with drivers

·       Manage daily driver activity, directing asset flow based on accepted shipment commitments

·       Coordinate agile weekly driver schedules based on operational needs and collaboration with the integrated supply chain

·       Ensure DOT compliance is met in the areas of driver hours of service and equipment maintenance

·       Track and manage trailer pools in accordance with the operational fleet program design

·       Timely communication of exceptions and limitations of the fleet program to the appropriate stakeholder(s)

·       Process and coordinate weekly driver payroll based on activity performed

·       Equipment deployment and maintenance scheduling of private fleet program assets

 

Additional Responsibilities:

·       Execute various SAP transactions relative to the operations

·       Support various forms of technology to administer the private fleet program

·       Knowledge of DOT / FMCSA rules and regulations governing a private fleet

·       Support various projects regarding the use private fleet operations

·       Back up support as needed to other private fleet programs

 

Requirements

·       High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of logistics/customer service experience

·       Knowledge of the transportation industry

·       Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

·       Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

·       Ability to work comfortably in a collaborative team environment

·       A “can do” attitude and the drive to back it up

 

Preferred

·       BA/BS in Logistics or Business

·       Knowledge of SAP

·       Experience with Transportation Management System applications (BlueYonder preferred)

·       Experience with transportation visibility software (FourKites preferred)

·       Previous experience with Tableau
