Transportation Coordinator

Transportation Coordinator-Goldsboro Fresh JOB DESCRIPTION : Position will require the following job functions: Follow up with truckers daily to verify delivery; notify customers and sales staff of any delivery issues. Complete freight report utilizing BOL information. Verify invoices/match up bills from carriers then forward to Troutman for payment. Book carriers for all trucks. Manage/schedule pickup for all FOB trucks. Make appointments for all deliveries. Manage pallet inventory for Sysco fob carrier. Check logs at guard shack for truck departures & pallet reports. Make freezer appointments when loads are scheduled to ship. Participate in daily production meetings with production coordinator and shipping (morning & afternoon). Exhibit the highest possible level of customer service to all customers, visitors and prospects. Individual should have the following characteristics: Good personality/ability to interact effectively with customers, customer product managers, QA managers, R&D staff, etc. Compassionate to customers’ needs. Detail oriented. Can thrive in a team environment. Ability to Multi-Task. Self-Motivated. Excellent follow through skills. Position located in Goldsboro, NC. Position reports to Sales Manager, Goldsboro Fresh Division No travel required.
