The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for all aspects related to managing the day-to-day transportation and logistics in Montreal, as detailed below:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the movement of Aircraft Parts and related equipment (Air & Ground)
  • Request quotes from carriers
  • Produce commercial invoices for shipments to US and Overseas
  • Tracking of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Monitor transportation invoicing and prices
  • Inform of any transportation-related issues, damaged shipments, delays, high costs
  • Assist with Critical and AOG (Aircraft on The Ground) shipments
  • Provide assistance to the Supply Chain in transportation-related activities in areas such as Stock Transfers (STI’s), Purchase Orders/Repair Orders, Inventory, Warehousing
  • Perform related duties as assigned by Manager
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures 

 

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • minimum of 3 years of work experience and/or education in Transportation and Logistics
  • Experience in the aerospace industry preferred
  • Experience with AOG (Aircraft on The Ground) shipments an asset
  • Experience with HS codes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Positive, professional attitude and the ability to take initiative
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to function in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of RAMCO and/or SharePoint, an asset
  • Dangerous Goods training, an asset
  • Advanced computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and solutions-oriented
  • Ability to perform all work in support of our Corporate Values of Safety, Teamwork, Focus, Innovation and Integrity
  • Demonstrates strong and visible support of our values

 

Security Clearance Requirements/ CGP / ITAR:

Position requires the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
