Transportation Coordinator
BGI GroupAbout Us US Cabinet Depot is a growing kitchen and bath cabinetry distributor with eight warehouse and distribution centers across the U.S. Our Transportation & Logistics team keeps freight moving between our warehouses, suppliers, and customers, and we're looking for an organized, detail-oriented Transportation Coordinator to join us. Position Summary The Transportation Coordinator supports day-to-day freight operations across all eight of our locations. Reporting to the Transportation Manager, you'll book shipments, choose the most cost-effective way to ship, approve freight quotes, and track loads from booking to delivery. You'll also own the weekly reports on carrier compliance, cost savings, and invoice accuracy. You'll work closely with our 3PL partner, Sales, warehouse shipping leads, and outside suppliers. What You'll Do Enter shipments into the TMS for orders outside the automated daily feed, including PO orders and non-inventory items Review order details and shipment volume to choose the right, most cost-effective mode (LTL, box truck, or FTL) Confirm delivery requirements such as residential, liftgate, and limited-access deliveries Review and approve freight quotes, and work with Sales on bid quotes for larger projects Approve routine accessorial charges and escalate anything outside normal limits to the Transportation Manager Book carriers for vendor and supply orders, and send Bills of Lading (BOLs) to the right warehouse or supplier Audit weekly freight invoices and flag charges that are over quote or have no quote on file Build and maintain weekly and as-needed transportation reports Track shipments through delivery, flag at-risk orders early, and keep warehouses, Sales, and customers updated Log delivery delays and work with the Claims team on issues Follow up on non-compliant loads across all warehouses until each is resolved and documented Maintain the weekly schedule for dedicated customer trucks and warehouse-to-warehouse transfers Help write and improve standard procedures for transportation workflows What We're Looking For [1–3+] years of experience in transportation, logistics, freight coordination, or a related role Working knowledge of LTL, FTL, and parcel shipping Experience with a TMS and an ERP system (NetSuite experience is a plus) Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and building reports Very detail-oriented, especially when reviewing quotes and auditing invoices Strong follow-through and the ability to juggle multiple shipments and deadlines Clear, professional communication with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams What We Offer Competitive pay Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off Room to grow with a team that's building and improving its processes Monday-Friday
