Solaris HealthCare is seeking a Transportation CNA to join our team!
Key Responsibilities :
Safely operate a van to transport patients to and from various appointments and destinations.
Aid patients as needed during boarding, transit, and disembarking from the vehicle.
Ensure the comfort and safety of patients throughout the transportation process, including securing mobility aids and ensuring proper wheelchair restraints.
Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to coordinate transportation schedules and address any special needs or concerns.
Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, and patient information.
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies and procedures.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the safety and reliability of the transportation vehicle.
Qualifications :
Certification as a Nursing Assistant required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Must possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Previous experience working in a healthcare or transportation setting preferred.
Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients and caregivers.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
