Transportation Center of Excellence, Lead Director - Middle Mile

For our client, we are seeking a Transportation Center of Excellence, Lead Director - Middle Mile to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This leader will shape transportation strategy for the middle mile network, with a focus on fleet asset management, analytics, and network execution. The role will drive centralized planning, routing, and performance management to improve cost discipline, service outcomes, and operational accountability across the transportation network. This is a highly cross-functional leadership position requiring partnership across operations, analytics, and compliance stakeholders. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $100,000 – $231,540 annually Responsibilities Lead and develop the Middle Mile Center of Excellence for fleet asset management and analytics Own fleet lifecycle strategy, optimizing asset performance and cost structure Lead centralized transportation planning and routing activities Develop performance management frameworks linking cost and service metrics to outcomes Establish operating models and accountability mechanisms across the network Qualifications 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain Strong background in continuous improvement methodologies Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA regulations and transportation compliance Proficient in data analytics and financial performance management Experience with analytics visualization tools Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Paid time off and wellness programs Retirement savings options Resources supporting physical, emotional, and financial well-being Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
