In this role we train you in our work and, with successful performance, will promote you to the Transportation Generalist job title/classification after one year of training. Hours will include overtime and various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The incumbent will be subject to drug and alcohol testing; an individual not currently in the random pool must pass a pre-placement drug test for evidence of use marijuana, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP) and amphetamines (MDMA, MDA and MDEA) and acetylmorphine (6-AM). The incumbent must also be registered in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Commercial Driver's License Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse. In case of roadway emergencies or weather events the incumbents must have immediate access to a phone and be able to report to assigned work locations within one hour of being called.
