Position Overview 23XI Racing is looking for a dependable, detail-focused local driver to move race cars, components and support equipment between 23XI and local vendors/partners. Most runs are in the Charlotte area. You'll plan your routes, hand-deliver parts that need special care, and keep our managers and partners updated at every step. Our race program depends on parts arriving on time and in perfect shape, so how carefully you work matters as much as how fast. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Pick up and deliver race cars, chassis, engines, body panels, components and support equipment to and from local vendors, suppliers and partners using a dually truck with gooseneck/tag-along trailer or flatbed tow truck within all DOT and traffic laws. Load, secure and unload cargo with the right tie-downs, straps, chocks, padding and covers so nothing gets damaged. Hand-deliver sensitive or high-value components straight to the right contact. Plan efficient daily routes around the Charlotte area, working around traffic, vendor hours, priority deliveries and load sequence. Change plans quickly when race-week priorities or urgent parts requests come up. Communicate with managers and vendor/partner contacts on trip details. Keep the trucks and trailers clean inside and out, organized and presentable. Do pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, hitch, gooseneck coupler, safety chains, brakes, lights and tires. Schedule: Mostly weekday daytime hours 7am-4pm, with some early starts, late runs or weekend availability as race schedules require. Test Events: Drive 53’ test hauler to and from test events. Maintain hauler and support the test team as a primary hauler driver. Estimated 2-4 test events per season. Backup Hauler Driver: Emergency backup driver for our race primary hauler drivers co-driving the race hauler to and from race events across the country. Perform other duties as assigned by manager. Required Skills, Experience and Abilities To perform the job successfully, you should demonstrate the following competencies: Valid class A CDL driver's license with a clean driving record. Current DOT medical card. Proven experience towing gooseneck and bumper-pull trailers with a dually or similar truck transporting race cars, motorsports equipment, or other high-value or fragile cargo. Solid knowledge of load securement methods and DOT cargo securement rules. Clear, proactive communication by phone, text and email. Familiarity with the NASCAR industry and the Charlotte motorsports vendor network. Forklift or pallet jack experience. Comfortable using route-planning apps and basic digital tools for logs and photos.
