Position Summary: The Transportation Analyst possesses a high level of analytical skills and has a passion for logistics and creating the dynamic solutions through network modeling and optimization. In this position, the individual will be a vital member of the Transportation team, responsible for handling all contract administration, rate and capacity analysis, growing our Freight Management Program, and developing transportation management tools using established software programs. Job Qualification Requirements: Data analysis & reporting including KPI development and maintenance. Responsible for carrier contract administration. Responsible for vendor vetting and compliance monitoring via scorecard framework. RFPs and freight bidding- DAT Live Load Board & RateView experience. Maximize asset lifecycle and fleet availability by executing a proactive, data-driven preventive maintenance (PM) program that systematically mitigates unplanned downtime. Effectively develop, analyze, prepare, and present data for continuous improvement activities. Manage cost control, lead cost reduction projects, monitor and manage cost containment targets. Monitor existing fleet performance through truck mounted GPS devices and Yard View for maximizing utilization. Review internal processes for compliance and controls. Proactively anticipate, analyze and troubleshoot any problems with deliveries and devise cost-effective and DOT compliant solutions; and act to implement the same. Modeling development to position the organization for future planning and provide optimal network solutions. Assist in optimizing freight and distribution networks- identifying and solution points of congestion to maximize workflow. Cross-functional collaboration with warehouse operations, finance, customer base, and vendors Other requirements: Experience in load planning, routing, posting, dispatching, and brokering. Experience and knowledge with 3rd party software and TMS packages. Clerical- knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures. Public Safety and Security- knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, and/or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions. 2-4 years management experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain or related field. Physical Demands: The Associate is required to: Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor. Minor lifting of office supplies, storage boxes. Working near others.
