Position Overview We are seeking a high-caliber Transportation Account Manager to join a growing Commercial Lines division. This role focuses on supporting, marketing, and servicing specialized transportation and commercial fleet accounts. Operating within a dedicated Production Team, you will manage relationships across small, medium, and large fleet operations. Key Responsibilities Portfolio Management: Act as the primary account manager for a dedicated book of commercial transportation risks, overseeing daily client service, policy changes, endorsements, and renewals. Account Marketing & Placement: Prepare detailed bid specifications, gather loss runs and censuses, and market fleet renewals and new business to regional and national transportation carriers. Fleet Coverage Strategy: Manage complex coverage structures across General Freight, Agricultural Hauling (processing/distribution), Hazardous Materials Transport, and specialized transport risks. Client & Carrier Relations: Maintain ongoing communication with risk managers, fleet directors, and carrier underwriters to drive strong account retention. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Producers, Account Executives, and internal safety/claims specialists to deliver value-added services beyond standard policy placement. Qualifications & Requirements Licensing: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) License required. Agency Experience: Minimum 3+ years of commercial lines account management experience within an independent agency environment. Transportation Expertise: Proven track record in marketing and servicing commercial fleet and transportation risks. Technical Proficiency: Experience with modern agency management systems (e.g., Applied Epic, AMS360) and carrier rating portals. Work Location Flexibility: Open to hybrid scheduling in the Central Valley, CA region or Fully Remote for highly experienced Transportation Account Managers.
