Transport Trailer Technician – Weekend Shift

Apex Trailer Group is a growing, independently owned Calgary company specializing in commercial transport trailer repair and maintenance. We're preparing to introduce a dedicated weekend shift and are looking for experienced transport trailer mechanics and journeyman technicians interested in joining our team. This position offers a three-day workweek with full 40-hour base pay, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to work in a clean, well-equipped commercial trailer repair facility. Weekend Schedule Friday, Saturday and Sunday Three 12-hour shifts — 36 scheduled working hours per week Paid for 40 hours per week at the applicable base rate Monday through Thursday off every week Full-time, permanent position Start date to be confirmed as the weekend shift is established Compensation and Benefits Journeyman Trailer Technicians: Starting at $39/hour Experienced Non-Ticketed Trailer Mechanics: $30–$35/hour, depending on experience Competitive hourly wages plus opportunities to earn additional performance-based bonuses Comprehensive extended health, prescription, dental, and vision benefits Annual safety boot allowance and monthly tool allowance Steady, year-round work Clean, well-equipped commercial trailer repair facility Opportunities for additional training and advancement What You'll Be Working On Our technicians work on commercial transport trailers, including dry vans and refrigerated trailers. Typical repairs and services include: Air brake systems, suspensions, axles, and wheel ends Electrical and lighting diagnostics and repairs Trailer air system troubleshooting Structural repairs and welding Preventative maintenance and CVIP inspections, where authorized What We're Looking For Experience repairing and maintaining commercial transport trailers Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities Ability to work independently and maintain quality workmanship Reliable, safety-conscious approach to repairs Willingness to work a consistent Friday–Sunday schedule A journeyman ticket is not required to apply. We welcome experienced trailer mechanics who can demonstrate strong practical abilities.
