Transport Dispatcher Needed

Pagonis Transport has over 40 years experience in LTL and FTL freight. We are a private company hauling our own products to recreational areas across the US and Canada. We are currently looking for an experienced truck dispatcher for our Toronto Office. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 1 year experience but we are willing to train the right candidate if required. Wages are to be discussed and determined based on your qualifications. Duties Dispatch, route, and trip plan drivers for inbound and outbound shipments within North America and determine the most cost-efficient routes. Accept load tenders, book delivery appointments and schedule pick up dates and time. Must have knowledge of PAPS/PARS and ACI Manifesting. Communicate with drivers, providing them with assistance and information regarding their current trip. Filing of paperwork. Ensure effective utilization of company’s equipment and resources. Communicate specific freight requirements and procedures to drivers. Handle customer inquiries in a timely, professional manner. Call customers to advise shipment delays and/or information necessary to process orders, border crossings, and receipt of custom documents for clearance. Skills And Qualifications Must have at least 1 year of dispatching experience Must have knowledge of the following: Outlook, Word and LoadLink (or similar software) Good verbal and written communication. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and ability to prioritize tasks as per importance. Positive attitude with good people skills. Strong ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines Strong organizational skills, ability to communicate over the phone and be persuasive and energetic You are able to work 8 AM to 5 PM Monday to Friday and are very punctual You believe in accountability and hold yourself to a high professional standard Strong Management Skills is an asset Fluent in English, bilingual is an asset If you are interested in working with us, please email us your resumes using the Indeed portal.
