Transport Dispatcher

Description: Transport Dispatcher E.H. Wolf & Sons, Inc. and M.A. Wolf Trucking • Slinger, WI • Full-Time • Hourly $22–$26/hr | Monday–Friday alternating early/late weeks | 401(k) match from day one At Wolf, we've kept businesses moving since 1941. We're looking for a friendly, organized Transport Dispatcher to coordinate our fuel transport drivers and customers from our Slinger, WI office. No dispatch experience? We'll train the right person. What You'll Do Assign drivers, trucks and extra drivers based on equipment availability and daily demand Keep in contact with drivers by radio and phone, and coordinate emergency response when needed Monitor drivers' hours of service to stay compliant with federal and state regulations Review daily fuel pricing to get the best buy for our customers Track customer fuel inventories and tank readings, whether entered manually or received electronically Watch for weather and road issues along routes, and tell drivers and customers about delays or changes Support customers by phone, email, online chat and in person Work closely with the whole transport fuel team, and cross-train to support other areas of the business Schedule 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, alternating weekly shifts: Early week: 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the office, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch Late week: 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the office, plus 1.5 hours of remote work Weekend coverage on a rotation Pay & Benefits $22–$26/hour, based on experience 401(k) with a 100% company match up to 5%, starting on your first day Medical, dental, vision and disability insurance Accrue up to 3 weeks of PTO in your first year, plus paid holidays Requirements: What We're Looking For Required: High school diploma or equivalent Clear, friendly verbal and written communication with customers, drivers and coworkers Strong organization and scheduling skills The ability to stay focused in a busy, shared office with several conversations going on around you Strong Microsoft Excel skills Comfortable learning dispatch and recordkeeping software quickly Basic knowledge of the regional geography and mapping tools Preferred: Associate degree in a related field Dispatch, logistics, transportation or customer service experience Experience in fuel, petroleum or bulk transport Physical requirements: sitting for extended periods; occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.
