TRANSLOADS

The Transload Coordinator is responsible for performing shipping and receiving from Port to Warehouse not limited to final delivery. Communicate with Warehouse personnel arrange staging and/or loading of material. Roles and Responsibilities Position responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Quoting several modes of transportation based on the customers’ needs Coordinating shipments with customers and booking with trucking carriers Negotiating rates with trucking carriers Tracking shipments and updating customers Learning and understanding trucking markets Developing new carrier relationships Maintain strong communication with customers and building customer relationships Enter and maintain inventory and activity data into the appropriate system Builds loads for delivery requests Maintains quality customer service by following organization standards Keeps management apprised of any delays or discrepancies Complies with standard operating procedures, rules, and regulations Maintain accurate inventory counts Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Education Requirements High School or GED equivalent Bachelor’s Degree is encouraged but not required Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in an office environment 2+ years in LTL Trucking position 2+ years in the Logistics or Shipping Industry Global Supply Chain knowledge helpful Preferred Skills Ability to communicate and provide great customer service Being able to work independently and part of a team Able to cope under pressure and meet deadlines Outgoing and forward-thinking mindset Excellent organizational skills Attention to detail Ability to multi-task and comfortable performing a wide variety of tasks
