Transfer Driver 2nd Shift

We are currently hiring a Transfer Driver for a dedicated route between our Marne and Burton, MI distribution centers. This position is responsible for safely transporting tires and other inventory between our facilities while maintaining accurate records, following all safety requirements, and assisting with warehouse operations when not driving. Pay & Schedule $19.00/hour + $2.00/hour shift premium for all hours worked Sunday–Thursday 4 PM–12:00 AM Route: Elkhart IN to Burton Mi What You'll Do Safely operate company transfer vehicles to transport tires and other inventory between distribution centers. Load, unload, and properly secure tires and other products for safe transportation. Verify transfer loads against documentation and report any discrepancies. Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and electronic documentation using a handheld tablet. Monitor vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes, fluid levels, and other safety-related equipment, and promptly report maintenance concerns. Maintain accurate driver, vehicle, delivery, and transfer records. Communicate with warehouse leadership regarding transfer status, delays, inventory concerns, or other issues. Follow all applicable traffic laws, DOT requirements, and company safety policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional vehicle and work area. Assist with warehouse operations when not driving, including loading and unloading tires, staging transfer loads, organizing inventory, and other general warehouse duties. Safely handle tires and other materials to prevent damage during loading, transportation, and unloading. What We're Looking Fo r Valid chauffeur's license and a clean driving record required . Must meet all applicable DOT physical requirements . Previous commercial driving or warehouse experience preferred, but not required. Comfortable using handheld tablets and electronic reporting systems. Forklift/hi-lo experience or certification preferred; training may be provided. Strong commitment to safe driving and safe work practices. Ability to safely drive in varying weather, traffic, and time-of-day conditions, including nighttime driving. Strong time management skills and ability to maintain transfer schedules. Professional, dependable, and safety-focused attitude. Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with warehouse leadership. Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Why Schneider Tire Outlet?
