A loader/unloader will unload incoming freight with a forklift and do some light assembly. Job Description Seeking an ambitious person to help unload trailers, do general labor duties, maintenance and prep work for customers, run errands, and make deliveries. General laborers perform a variety of tasks throughout the course of a day. Tasks that require little skill can be learned quickly; other tasks require some experience or training. General laborers are often required to work outside in all kinds of weather or in buildings without air conditioning. General laborers are responsible for the overall appearance of our facility in addition to working alongside our mechanics to ensure all tasks get completed accurately, timely, and safely. Job Duties The job duties of a general laborer vary. They may include unloading and assembly of utility trailers, unloading parts and materials, and using a variety of tools and machines such as tractors, forklifts, impacts, torque wrenches, tire changer, gantry crane, etc. Laborers are responsible for the unloading and assembly of utility trailers, adding parts and accessories, cleaning inventory, and displaying on the lot for sale. They help technicians with tasks that require a hand, such as lifting gates or ramps, installing a winch, installed a washer or dryer, etc. A general laborer is also responsible for facility upkeep, which may involve line trimming, cutting grass, removing snow, etc. Requirements General laborers must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance. Laborers must also be able to concentrate on their tasks. The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential. Some tools and machines are computerized, requiring technical knowledge to use. Custom service experience is preferred Must be mechanically inclined Must be a team player and work well with others Effective listening skills Must be able to multi-task and work in a changing atmosphere Enthusiastic personality Ability to lift 50lbs or more, and some climbing may be required Must have a current driver's license and the ability to obtain a medical card Open Monday-Saturday Those under consideration will be subject to a pre-employment criminal background check, drug screen, and physical.
