Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on tank, van, and reefer trailers.?
• Inspect mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and attachment systems to ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance.?
• Service and repair brakes, tires, lighting, reefer units, floors, fenders, and mudflaps.?
• Assist with trailer cleaning and sanitization to maintain food-grade standards.?
• Utilize diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and technical manuals to troubleshoot and resolve issues.?
• Maintain accurate maintenance and cleaning records.?
• Respond to regional service calls and perform temporary roadside repairs as needed.?
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.?
• Qualifications?
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent.?
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.?
• Basic understanding of trailer components and mechanical systems.?
• Ability to read and follow technical service manuals.?
• Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.?
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physically demanding work.?
