Mobile/Shop Trailer Technician Shreveport LA On Call Shop Hours Available 7a-5p Pay Range $25 - $35/Hr As a Mobile Service Trailer Technician, you will ensure smooth operation and maintenance of these essential bottom dump/sand chassis trailers. Drawing on your expertise, you will play a pivotal role in delivering efficient and reliable mobile trailer service. In addition, you can work in the shop if your schedule allows for additional hours. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Perform detailed inspections of trailers to identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues. · Conduct repairs, adjustments, and preventive maintenance tasks on trailer components such as brakes, suspension systems, lighting, and couplings. · Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical problems to ensure trailer functionality and safety. · Collaborate with other technicians and departments to coordinate trailer servicing schedules and optimize operational efficiency. · Maintain accurate records of trailer maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory. · Adhere to safety protocols, regulations, and industry standards to uphold the quality and reliability of trailer services. · Effective communications skills, both verbal and written. The ability to interact professionally with customers and team members. · Time management and organizational skills to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines. · Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as the job demands. · Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. · Physical capability to lift heavy equipment and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity. · Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations. Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations governing vehicle maintenance. · Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications/Skills: · Proven experience as a Trailer Technician or similar role, with a strong background in trailer maintenance and repair. · Knowledge of trailer systems, components, and diagnostics tools relevant to the transportation industry. · Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate technical information clearly, and collaborate with colleagues. · Detail-oriented approach to conduct thorough inspections, identify issues, and perform precise repairs. · Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve trailer-related issues efficiently. · Certification or training in trailer maintenance, automotive technology, or a related field within the transportation sector. · Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
