Trailer Mechanic / Shop Maintenance

Delta Transport Services, LLC Compensation DOE Previous familiarity with commercial trucks and trailers and other equipment is preferred. Responsibilities: - Conduct various task to support other crew members by maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe working environment. - Inspect equipment for defects and safe operating conditions daily; perform basic repairs. - Comply with OSHA rules and company policies and procedures. Skills: - Ability to work well in a team environment - Ability to work under high pressure in a fast-paced environment and keep quality of work high. - Be well organized and have strong initiative and sense of responsibility - Be willing and eager to learn; a go-getter. Other Requirements: - Maintain Forklift certification (training provided) - Ability to work in inclement Alaskan weather - Ability to climb stairs, ladders, or platforms and climb into and out of the forklift - Ability to routinely bend and squat; walk stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; work at heights from a lift; ability to lift 70 pounds or greater. - Attention to detail, ability to complete tasks in a timely manner, work from a checklist;. Adherence to the performance standards and working practices of DTS as defined in the Employee Handbook and company SOP's is a requirment.
