Trailer Mechanic / Hitch installer

Job Overview Are you the Top Gun of trailer mechanics, with the ability to diagnose and perform professional repair to all makes and models of light and medium duty, electric, electric over hydraulic, and surge brake trailers, as well as installation of aftermarket accessories and towing products? If you think you're the person we're looking for, please send a resume to (403)341-2373 or email us at customer-service@hitchdepot.ca Duties Install, repair, and maintain trailer hitches and related components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment Diagnose mechanical issues related to trailers, hitches, and associated systems Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams to ensure accurate installation and repairs Operate machinery such as hoists and forklifts, maneuvering trailers in and out of the building. Conduct safety inspections on trailers and hitch systems to ensure compliance with safety standards Assist customers with inquiries regarding trailer maintenance or hitch installation procedures Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency Skills Proven experience in trailer repair, and towing accessories Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and schematics reading Experience operating equipment such as forklifts, and vehicle/trailer hoists. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical or electrical issues Excellent customer service skills for engaging with clients professionally Knowledge of electrical systems related to trailers or industrial equipment is a plus Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently in a fast-paced environment Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits: Dental care Extended health care Vision care Work Location: In person
