Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Trailer Mechanic role based in Henderson, CO. The Trailer Mechanic will perform routine and complex maintenance and repair on semi‑trailers, including refrigerated units, dry vans, dump trailers, and specialized equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting trailers, diagnosing mechanical and structural issues, completing brake, suspension, and electrical system repairs, and performing DOT and preventive maintenance inspections. The role also involves documenting work performed, following safety and quality standards, collaborating with service advisors and other technicians, and supporting same‑day service and refurbishing projects. The Trailer Mechanic will use appropriate tools, equipment, and technical manuals to ensure reliable, compliant, and efficient trailer performance. Qualifications Strong trailer Maintenance skills, including routine service and component replacement. Experience with Preventive Maintenance programs and DOT-compliant inspections. Proficiency in Maintenance & Repair of trailer systems (brakes, suspension, lighting, structural components). Hands-on experience working with Heavy Equipment and commercial trailers. Effective Troubleshooting abilities for mechanical, electrical, and structural issues. Working knowledge of hand and power tools, shop equipment, and safety practices. Ability to interpret work orders, technical manuals, and diagrams. Capability to lift and move heavy components and work in a shop environment for extended periods. Previous experience as a trailer, truck, or diesel mechanic preferred. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics is a plus. Reliable work habits, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and safety. Eligibility to work on-site in Henderson, CO and follow all company policies and procedures.
