Call us at -4378306100 Responsibilities Perform inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on trailers, including air brakes, electrical systems, suspension, and chassis components Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs efficiently Conduct heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, cranes, or other industrial machinery as needed Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies Collaborate with team members to assemble or disassemble trailer components and perform routine maintenance tasks Follow safety protocols during all repair activities to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others Assist in the operation of heavy equipment for loading or moving trailers when required Requirements Minimum 2 years of proven mechanic experience , preferably with trailer repair or heavy equipment maintenance. Previous dealership experience or experience working for a trucking company with 53-feet trailers is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge, including electrical systems, wiring, and schematics . Skilled in welding and experienced in using hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment for repairs and assembly. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and excavators. Familiarity with trailer systems, including brakes, electrical wiring, suspension components, landing gear, and chassis structures . Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues. Good communication and customer service skills to work effectively with team members, drivers, and clients when required. Welding, electrical, or heavy equipment operation certifications are considered an asset. Must be able to work safely and follow all workplace health and safety procedures .
