Present technical recommendations to leadership, elected officials, public agencies, developers, and community members. Mentor engineering staff and provide technical guidance on complex traffic and transportation issues. Support grant applications, transportation funding strategies, and interagency coordination. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a closely related field. Eight years of progressively responsible engineering experience, including at least five years at the professional level in traffic or transportation engineering design. Demonstrated experience in traffic engineering, transportation engineering, traffic operations, roadway design, or transportation planning. Preferred Qualification Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification is highly preferred. Candidates with a PTOE designation will be especially well aligned with the technical scope of the role, including traffic operations, signal systems, intersection and corridor analysis, roadway safety, traffic studies, capacity analysis, development review, and transportation system performance. Candidates with strong traffic-engineering experience who meet the core requirements are also encouraged to apply.
