With 20 years of experience in the traffic control industry and new clients joining our team, we're expanding our workforce and looking for dependable, motivated individuals to grow with us. Employees report to our Elkridge, Maryland yard before being transported to their assigned job sites. Whether you're new to the industry or have previous road construction and highway experience, TES offers opportunities to learn, develop your skills, and build a career in traffic control. No previous flagging experience? No problem! We offer entry-level flagger training and advanced traffic control courses to help you develop your skills and advance within the company. Job Responsibilities Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic around construction sites and designated work zones. Help establish and maintain safe work zones to protect construction crews, customers, pedestrians, and the traveling public. Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices as directed. Monitor job site conditions and promptly report potential hazards, unsafe conditions, or concerns to supervisors. Work closely with fellow crew members, supervisors, and job site personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations. Maintain clear and professional communication regarding traffic patterns, changing conditions, and safety procedures. Follow company policies, safety procedures, and applicable traffic control standards. Remain alert and focused while working in active roadway environments and changing weather conditions. Qualifications & Requirements Strong communication and teamwork skills. Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn. Ability to remain alert and safety-focused in a fast-paced outdoor work environment. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Previous traffic control, road construction, or highway experience is a plus. Valid driver's license preferred but not required.
