Coastal Elite ProRole Overview The Protector works with a team at job sites to ensure traffic safety by setting up cones, signs, and barricades, and guiding traffic using stop/slow paddles. They are responsible for following all safety protocols learned during training, maintaining clear communication with teammates and supervisors, and keeping vehicles and equipment clean and safe. This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, sometimes for extended periods, and may involve standing or walking for 8 to 12 hours per shift. Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergency work depending on job needs. Personal protective equipment such as a hard hat, safety goggles, vest, whistle, walkie talkie, and weather gear are provided; steel-toe boots are required from the applicant. Qualifications & Skills Valid driver’s license Ability to stand, walk, and work outside for long durations Capability to lift 40–50 pounds Willingness to work in traffic and variable weather conditions Flexible schedule and punctuality Passing pre-hire screening, including a drug test Alertness around moving traffic and adherence to safety rules Respectful communication with coworkers, clients, and the public Key Duties & Benefits Responsibilities include traffic control setup and removal, traffic guidance, safety compliance, and teamwork. Pay ranges from $18.50 to $19.25 per hour, with overtime opportunities and potential pay increases. Training and a traffic safety certification are provided.
