Coastal Elite ProRole Overview As a Traffic Safety Protector , you will work with a team at various job sites to ensure safety and traffic control. No prior experience or degree is required as comprehensive training is provided. Your primary duties include setting up cones, signs, and barricades, guiding traffic with stop/slow paddles, and maintaining safety protocols. Effective communication with your crew and supervisor, and keeping vehicles and equipment clean and safe are essential. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions, standing or walking for extended periods, and may be required to work night shifts, weekends, or emergency hours. Qualifications & Skills Valid driver’s license Ability to stand, walk, and lift 40–50 pounds for long periods Willingness to work in traffic and variable weather conditions Flexible schedule and punctuality Pass pre-hire screening, including drug testing Alertness around moving traffic and adherence to safety rules Respectful interaction with coworkers, clients, and the public Key Responsibilities Set up and take down traffic control devices Direct traffic safely using paddles Follow safety training and protocols Communicate effectively with team members Maintain safety and cleanliness of equipment Compensation & Advancement Hourly pay of $19.50–$20.25 with overtime opportunities Paid training and traffic safety certification Benefits include paid time off, holidays, sick leave, health insurance, 401(k), employee assistance, and referral bonuses Promotion pathways to senior and lead protector, field supervisor, and managerial roles
