Role Overview As a Traffic Safety Protector , you will work with a team to set up and take down traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades at job sites. Your responsibilities include guiding traffic using stop/slow paddles, monitoring site activity, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. You will communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors, maintain equipment, and operate outdoors in various weather conditions. This role requires working outside for extended periods, sometimes in traffic or during emergency situations, with shifts that may include nights and weekends. Qualifications & Skills Valid driver’s license Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for long durations Capability to lift 40–50 pounds Willingness to work in traffic and changing weather conditions Flexible schedule and punctuality Must pass pre-hire screening, including drug tests Alertness around moving traffic and adherence to safety rules Respectful interaction with coworkers, clients, and the public Key Duties & Benefits Your daily duties involve setting up traffic control equipment, guiding vehicles, and maintaining safety standards. Training and equipment are provided, including safety gear and a traffic safety certificate. Compensation ranges from $19.50–$20.25 per hour with overtime, pay increases, and paid training.
