Traffic Clerk – Warehouse

About the Role: one of our client in mississuaga seeking a detail-oriented and organized Traffic Clerk to support warehouse transportation and logistics operations at our Avonhead warehouse. The successful candidate will coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, maintain accurate shipping documentation, communicate with drivers and warehouse teams, and ensure timely movement of goods. Proficiency in iTrade and Produce Pro is essential to maintaining accurate shipment tracking, order processing, and inventory records in a fast-paced wholesale produce environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Shipment Coordination · Coordinate and monitor incoming and outgoing shipments. · Support timely dispatch, loading, and delivery of goods. · Use iTrade to track orders, confirm shipments, and monitor shipment status. · Coordinate with drivers and warehouse staff to ensure smooth transportation operations. 2. Documentation and Systems Management · Prepare and verify bills of lading, delivery receipts, invoices, and other shipping documents. · Use Produce Pro to verify product details, orders, and inventory-related information. · Maintain accurate shipment logs, vehicle activity records, and delivery schedules in iTrade and Produce Pro. · Identify and report discrepancies in shipment documentation and system records. 3. Communication and Follow-Up · Act as the main point of coordination between drivers, warehouse staff, and logistics personnel. · Monitor emails and other communication channels and ensure timely follow-up. · Resolve shipment delays, documentation issues, and transportation-related concerns promptly. · Escalate operational issues to the appropriate supervisor or manager. 4. Compliance and Quality Control · Follow applicable transportation requirements and company safety procedures. · Monitor shipment conditions and report product damage, shortages, or discrepancies. · Ensure shipping records and documentation are complete and accurate. 5. Record-Keeping and Reporting · Maintain organized shipment records for operational tracking and audit purposes. · Update shipment statuses and relevant information in iTrade and Produce Pro. · Support tracking of freight costs, delivery schedules, and vehicle usage as required. Skills and Qualifications · Previous experience in warehouse traffic, logistics, dispatch, or transportation coordination is preferred. · Proficiency in iTrade and Produce Pro is essential. · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. · Good written and verbal communication skills. · Ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. · Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow up on outstanding issues independently. · Knowledge of transportation documentation and applicable compliance requirements. · Ability to work the scheduled shift and weekends when operationally required. Work Environment This position operates within a busy wholesale produce warehouse, working closely with drivers, warehouse personnel, and logistics teams to support efficient inbound and outbound operations.
