Tractor Trailer Driver (CDL A)

Job Overview A Tractor Trailer Driver is responsible for operating FMCSA-regulated tractor-trailers in intrastate and interstate commerce to safely and efficiently perform pick-ups and deliveries to and from vendors and Baldor facilities. This position requires strict adherence to DOT, FMCSA, and Company policies while ensuring on-time service, safe vehicle operation, and high standards of professionalism. Key Responsibilities Deliver and pick up, of up to 24 pallets per route to and from vendors, customers, and Baldor locations, both intra- and interstate. Safely operate FMCSA-regulated tractor-trailers (53’ equipment) in compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, and Company regulations. Utilize hand trucks, lift gates, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to load and unload pallets as required. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT and Company policies. Accurately document all deliveries and pick-ups and obtain required customer/vendor signatures using electronic Bills of Lading (BOL) in accordance with Company guidelines. Maintain professional communication with dispatch, customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate service. Handle products and freight with care to ensure quality, safety, and integrity throughout transport. Job Requirements Valid CDL Class A Driver’s License with a minimum of one year tractor trailer driving experience. Valid DOT Medical Card. Experience operating 53’ tractor trailers. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English language sufficiently to comply with FMCSA/DOT regulations. Valid driving record with minimal infractions, in accordance to Company policy. Knowledge of products to ensure proper handling and quality control. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to follow safety procedures, routes, and delivery instructions accurately. Work Schedule Ability to work up to 6-day work schedule including weekends and holidays Start times determined by route assignments and operational requirements Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push and pull up to 80lbs. Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time. Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions without reasonable accommodation.
