Towing Night Dispatcher

Job Overview Angelo’s Towing is looking for a reliable and motivated Towing Dispatcher to join our team. This position is a key part of our daily operations and requires someone who can stay calm, focused, and organized in a fast-paced environment. As a dispatcher, you will be responsible for answering incoming calls, dispatching drivers to AAA roadside assistance calls, and communicating with CHP, Sheriff departments, customers, and drivers. The role can get hectic at times, so we are looking for someone who can multitask, pay close attention to detail, and manage multiple phone calls and dispatch requests at once. Duties Answer incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently, including calls from AAA, CHP, Sheriff departments, customers, and drivers. Dispatch drivers to AAA roadside assistance calls, towing calls, accidents, impounds, and other service requests. Communicate clearly with drivers regarding call details, locations, customer information, vehicle information, and any special instructions. Monitor driver availability and assign calls based on location, response time, and job priority. Handle multiple phone lines and dispatch requests at the same time while staying organized and accurate. Enter and update call information accurately in the dispatch system. Provide professional customer service, even during busy or stressful situations. Keep track of active calls, completed calls, driver status, and any important updates throughout the shift. Work closely with management and drivers to make sure calls are handled quickly, safely, and correctly. Requirements Previous dispatching experience is preferred, especially in towing, transportation, roadside assistance, law enforcement towing, or a fast-paced call center environment. Must be able to multitask and stay calm under pressure. Strong attention to detail is required. Must be comfortable answering multiple phone calls and managing several tasks at once. Excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette. Basic computer skills and ability to learn dispatch software. Ability to type accurately and enter information quickly. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. Knowledge of local areas, freeways, and city streets is a plus.
