Job Summary Join our team as a Towing Dispatcher, where you'll be the vital link coordinating vehicle recovery and roadside assistance services. Your energetic and organized approach will ensure swift, efficient dispatching of tow trucks and service providers, delivering exceptional customer support while adhering to industry regulations. Duties Manage incoming calls via multi-line phone systems, providing clear and professional communication with customers, drivers, and service providers. Utilize transportation management systems and vehicle dispatch software to assign towing jobs accurately and efficiently. Coordinate with roadside assistance teams, drivers, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners to ensure timely vehicle recovery and freight delivery. Enter data precisely into databases such as Oracle Transportation Management, maintaining detailed records of dispatch activities, customer interactions, and incident reports. Monitor GPS and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve overall road transportation operations. Communicate internally with team members using effective internal communication channels to relay updates, changes, or urgent requests. Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards during all dispatching activities. Skills Proficiency with Towbook is a PLUS Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in high-pressure situations. Effective communication skills for phone call management, customer service, and internal collaboration. Knowledge of road transportation operations, freight handling, shipping & receiving procedures, and fleet management practices. Familiarity with GIS, GPS technology, supply chain principles, and transportation planning strategies. Understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols relevant to vehicle dispatching and road transportation.
