Tow Truck/Flatbed Operator

We are currently seeking someone to join our team of drivers. We are a family owned and operated business serving the community for over 35 years. We offer scheduled work hours at an hourly rate with the opportunity to work additional hours on a commission basis. Paid training is provided and all tools and equipment necessary to operate the trucks is provided to you. Drivers are required to wear high vis clothing and safety boots that are not provided. A clean criminal record check and driver's abstract are required with a minimum of 6 years of driving experince. A Class "G" driver's licence is required in good standing and you will need to obtain a Tow Truck Driver Certificate as required by the TSSEA regulations. We will assist with you with obtaining your certificate and will take into consideration the reimbursement for the costs based on the length of employment committment. Paid training is provided at a reduced rate of hourly pay until tow certificate is received. As a tow truck driver you will: - operate a towing vehicle, either flatbed or wrecker in accordance with company policies and safety guidelines while adhering to CAA and TSSEA tow requirements and customer service. - perform various yard duties, as required, to maintain an efficient work place and a clean impound - perform required daily inspections, cleaning and light maintenance on towing vehicles Job Requirements: - Clean drivers abstract - Valid "G" Drivers licence and be 21 years of age or older - Clean Criminal Record Search - previous experience an asset but definitely not a requirement - fluently read, write and speak english - basic math skill - Basic usage of technology (Tablets, smart phones, POS card readers) If you have an interest in cars and like to drive this could be a great opportunity to learn a new trade and join a great team.
