Tow Truck Driver - Scrap Car Removal

We're hiring an experienced tow truck driver to collect scrap and end-of-life vehicles and transport them to designated recycling and storage facilities. You'll work with dispatch, handle customer pickups and take responsibility for safe loading, securement and delivery. TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST HAVE: A valid Class G driver's licence and clean driving record. A valid Ontario tow driver certificate. At least one year of hands-on tow truck operating experience. Practical experience with winching, vehicle loading and load securement. WHAT YOU'LL DO Collect scrap vehicles, including vehicles that won't start or drive. Assess access and vehicle condition, plan safe loading and report unsafe situations to dispatch. Operate towing equipment, winches, chains and straps safely. Secure each vehicle correctly and check the load before travelling. Deliver and unload vehicles at the assigned location. Complete truck inspections, report defects and maintain accurate pickup and delivery records. Communicate professionally with customers and respect their property. YOU'LL BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU: Arrive reliably and follow through on assigned pickups. Make safe decisions and ask for assistance when a pickup requires it. Work confidently with towing and securement equipment. Can perform hands-on duties outdoors in changing weather, with accommodation where needed. Have CSA-approved steel-toe footwear. Scrap car removal experience is an asset.
