Tow Truck Driver/Impound Driver

Hound Dog's Towing & Recovery is hiring Tow Truck Drivers for our Columbus, Ohio operation. We run consignment and dealer transport, collateral recovery, private property impound, and 24-hour roadside across Central Ohio, and we are growing. Calls come in around the clock, so we need dependable operators who show up ready, do the job right, and treat every customer and every vehicle with care. CDL preferred but not required. We will train the right person. What you'll do Respond to tow, recovery, roadside, repossession and impound calls assigned by dispatch Hook, load, secure and transport vehicles safely and without damage Complete a pre-trip inspection at the start of every shift and report any defects before rolling Keep accurate duty-status logs under FMCSA rules Complete job paperwork, photos and digital entries for every call Keep your truck clean, fueled and ready for the next call Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatch, customers, law enforcement and the rest of the crew What we're looking for 25 years of age or older (insurance requirement) Valid, unrestricted driver's license. Class D for light-duty; CDL for heavy-duty Current DOT medical card, or the ability to get one Clean motor vehicle report with no disqualifying violations Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check Able to lift 50+ lbs and stay on your feet through a shift Comfortable working nights, weekends and a holiday rotation Towing, recovery or commercial driving experience is a plus. Wreckmaster or TRAA certification is a plus. Not required.
