Tow Truck Driver

Overview As a Driver, you’ll move vehicles safely and reliably across local and long distance routes. You’ll operate tow trucks and handle cargo carefully from pickup through delivery. Your impact: Safe, on-time, help customers with any service that is need as well as ensure their vehicles arrive safely and on time. As well as any and all other duties assigned. Shift Requirements: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm as well as an alternating overnight on-call schedule. On-call schedule is commission based pay. The abililty to take your assigned truck home with you at night when on-call. Responsibilities Drive commercial vehicles. Inspect vehicles and equipment before and after trips. Load, unload, secure, and handle automobiles using safe manual handling practices; support freight transportation when required. Follow route plans, use GPS navigation, and communicate delivery or road issues promptly. Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. Qualifications Required: Valid commercial driving credentials appropriate for the vehicle (DOT pphysical card) and route; safe truck driving and commercial driving practices. Required: Ability to perform driving, truck loading and unloading, and other logistical tasks. Preferred: Driver experience and familiarity with towing and recovery of vehicles. Preferred: Experience with Rollbacks, Medium Duty wrecker, and Self loader wreckers. No CDL is required for this position.
