Tow Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Tow Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles, providing roadside assistance, and ensuring efficient vehicle recovery operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, precision, and professionalism are paramount. Proper training is offered. MUST HAVE A CLEAN BACKGROUND. ALSO MUST HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING HISTORY. WE ARE REQUIRED TO RUN BOTH BY LAW. Responsibilities Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles across various locations. Perform vehicle recovery towing with adherence to cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit. Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs to facilitate towing or roadside assistance. Load and unload vehicles with care, ensuring safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks while following safety guidelines. Assist customers with car towing requests, providing excellent customer service through clear communication and professional conduct. Follow all safety procedures related to mechanical vehicle repair, cargo securement, and driving regulations for commercial trucks and manual transmission vehicles. Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and incident reports as required by company policies. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics and minor mechanical repairs for trucks and cars. Proven ability in commercial driving, including operating flatbeds and other specialized tow trucks safely and efficiently. Excellent driving skills with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) for truck driving operations. Knowledge of cargo securement protocols to ensure safe transportation of vehicles. Skilled in vehicle mechanics for truck drivers, including basic troubleshooting and repair techniques. Effective conflict management skills to handle challenging situations professionally and calmly. Exceptional customer service abilities to assist clients courteously during roadside emergencies or towing requests.
