Duties Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to recover and transport vehicles across various locations Conduct basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs on vehicles when necessary to facilitate towing or ensure safe transport Secure loads following cargo securement protocols to prevent accidents or damage during transit Perform vehicle recovery towing for accident scenes, breakdowns, or roadside assistance requests with precision and care Load and unload vehicles carefully using manual transmission skills and mechanical knowledge to prevent damage Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and delivery details for record-keeping purposes Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and emergency responders to coordinate timely assistance and ensure customer satisfaction Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving preferred Proven experience with automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, and basic vehicle troubleshooting Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle mechanics for truck drivers and minor mechanical repairs Familiarity with flatbed tow trucks, vehicle recovery towing, and safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks Knowledge of cargo securement protocols to ensure safe transportation of vehicles Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflicts professionally when needed Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely in various conditions Prior experience in conflict management is a plus but not required; training provided as needed This role offers an energetic environment where your technical expertise and proactive attitude will drive success.
