Tow Truck Driver

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Tow Truck Driver and become the essential link in providing prompt, reliable roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services. In this energetic role, you will operate various tow trucks, including flatbed and hook-and-chain models, to assist stranded motorists and fleet operators. Your mechanical expertise and customer service skills will ensure every call is handled efficiently, safely, and professionally. Duties Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional hook-and-chain models, to recover vehicles from accident scenes, breakdowns, or illegal parking situations Perform automotive diagnostics and basic repairs as needed to prepare vehicles for transport or address minor mechanical issues on-site Load and unload vehicles with precision using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches while ensuring safety protocols are followed Manage customer interactions with professionalism, providing clear communication and exceptional service during stressful situations Maintain detailed records of all recoveries, loads, unloads, and vehicle conditions for reporting and compliance purposes Conduct routine inspections of tow truck equipment to ensure operational safety and mechanical reliability Collaborate with dispatch teams to coordinate timely pickups and deliveries across various locations Qualifications Proven experience operating tow trucks or similar commercial vehicles; familiarity with flatbed and hook-and-chain models is highly desirable Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform automotive diagnostics and basic repairs Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving licenses preferred Skilled in manual transmission operation and vehicle loading/unloading procedures Knowledge of automotive repair techniques and troubleshooting automotive issues Ability to manage conflicts effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor under pressure Experience with forklift operation is a plus for handling heavy or awkward loads safely Excellent customer service skills combined with clear communication abilities Physical stamina to load/unload vehicles and perform roadside assistance tasks in various weather conditions Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills, mechanical expertise, and commitment to exceptional service make a real difference on the road!
