THE ROLE

Are you a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment? Do you have a passion for customer service and ensuring operational success? We are looking for a Tour Operations Coordinator to join our North America Operations team in Vancouver and help keep our operations running seamlessly.

Your role as the Tour Operations Coordinator is to ensure APT’s and Travelmarvel’s North American Crew are set up for successful tour preparation by issuing complete, accurate and timely tour paperwork. This position – under the supervision of the Tour Operations Manager – also requires you to work closely with suppliers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Issuing (Crew) Tour Manifests from Ody/Oxy Admin and other sources according to schedule
  • Checking Tour Manifests for errors and/or inconsistencies, investigating and correcting them
  • Responding to enquiries from Crew, International Tour Administration, Product, CSC, Docs about day-to-day operations
  • Sourcing information as required from suppliers, in particular pre-season
  • Booking/updating/cancelling supplier reservations as needed

ABOUT YOU

  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and with exceptional problem-solving/analytical skills
  • Capable of multitasking, managing time, prioritizing, working under pressure and in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Sense of initiative and willingness to learn and aid team members and other departments.
  • Able to communicate professionally with people of all ages and all backgrounds.
  • Excellent computer skills, in particular Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Teams etc.
  • Knowledge of tourist destinations and cruising in Canada and Alaska, and of APT/TM Products there, an asset.
  • Experience dealing with suppliers and/or Crew an asset.

Note: Due to the seasonality of the business in North America, overtime and other week-end work might be required during the summer season (March to September) and will be offset by flexible/in lieu hours in Winter. All overtime must be pre-approved by the Director of Operations.
