Tooling Shop Assistant
Hunter Precision ToolHunter Precision Tool is a small, family-owned tooling company looking for a hands-on, motivated Tooling Shop Assistant to join our team. This is an all-around shop support position for someone who likes working with their hands, enjoys mechanical and manufacturing environments, and wants to learn the tooling business from the ground up. You will help keep the shop running smoothly by preparing tools and equipment, assisting with machines and small projects, packaging and shipping orders, maintaining inventory, keeping the facility organized, and jumping in wherever help is needed. We are looking for a team player who is hungry to learn, takes initiative, and wants to grow. The ideal person doesn't wait to be told what to do every five minutes. They notice what needs to be done, think ahead, and take pride in doing the job right. What You'll Do Prepare tooling, components, and materials for production and customer orders. Assist with setting up and preparing machines, tools, and equipment. Help with packaging, labeling, shipping, and receiving. Stock and organize tooling, materials, supplies, and inventory. Help maintain an organized, clean, and safe shop environment. Assist with small tooling, machining, assembly, and finishing projects. Perform basic shop maintenance and general housekeeping. Move materials, tooling, and equipment throughout the facility as needed. Help load and unload deliveries and shipments. Assist other team members with projects and day-to-day shop needs. Learn how our tooling is made, finished, packaged, and delivered to customers. Take on additional responsibilities as you gain experience and knowledge. Look for what needs to be done and take initiative rather than waiting to be asked. Is dependable and shows up ready to work. Pays attention to detail. Is comfortable asking questions when they don't know something. Wants to learn new skills rather than simply do the same task every day. Works well independently but understands that being a good teammate comes first .
