then transitions to service-center responsibilities, while remaining available for additional deliveries as needed. Working under the direction of the Tool Room Supervisor, this position uses a cellphone and an ERP system to record activities and closely supports Production, Quality, and Purchasing teams.
Responsibilities
• Complete assigned morning delivery routes and document all tool handoffs to support the 6:10 a.m. team delivery target.
• Use the ERP system and a cellphone to accurately record tool movements, deliveries, returns, and related activities in real time.
• Perform accurate counts of tools and related inventory, ensuring complete custody, identification, quantity, and location records.
• Inspect returned tools for condition and readiness, and identify any issues that require follow-up or corrective action.
• Replenish and stage tools for the next shift, ensuring carts and tool sets are complete, organized, and ready for use.
• Maintain next-shift readiness by completing assigned count, inspection, replenishment, and staging tasks before the shift ends.
• Keep unresolved issues visible and clearly documented, and move tool carts to READY status only after authorized release.
• Support Production, Quality, and Purchasing by responding promptly to tool requests and inventory inquiries.
• Communicate delays, shortages, or discrepancies promptly to appropriate team members and leadership.
• Maintain safe coverage when switching between delivery and service-center responsibilities.
• Follow established procedures for inventory control and tool room operations to support high inventory accuracy.
• Contribute to a positive, service-oriented team environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues across departments.
Essential Skills
• At least 5 years of experience using an ERP system in a production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
• Previous hands-on experience working in a tool room or similar tool control environment.
• A minimum of 5 years of inventory control or inventory management experience.
• 35 years of warehouse or material handler experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong computer literacy, including the ability to use ERP systems and basic office software.
• Ability to accurately count, track, and document tools and inventory items.
• Strong attention to detail to maintain precise records and identify discrepancies.
• Effective communication skills to document work, report issues, and coordinate with multiple departments.
• Reliability and punctuality to support early-morning delivery coverage and time-sensitive operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with frequent tool and material movements.
• Comfort using mobile devices, such as cellphones, to record work activities.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly tool room and staging areas.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively across delivery and service-center duties.
• Commitment to safety practices in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to support cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality, and Purchasing.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
