JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for small engine and tool repair. May perform general warehouse tasks including furnishing tools, materials and supplies to other workers; loading and unloading materials, cleaning work and dock area and truck yard. Cleans, maintains, and repairs tools, parts, and machinery.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or GED  required
  • 1-3 years of experience in small engine repair
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in repairing gas chain saws, gas drills, electric power tools, air tools, small hydraulic pumps and small hydraulic tools preferred.  Basic computer skills preferred.

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Furnishes tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to other workers.
  • Cleans, maintains or repairs machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects by using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.
  • Transfers equipment, tools, parts, and other objects to and from workstations and other areas.
  • Assembles and disassembles machinery, equipment, components, and other parts.
  • Installs or replaces machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments.
  • Adjusts and connects or disconnects wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts.
  • Applies protective materials to equipment, components, and parts to prevent defects and corrosion.
  • Tends and observes equipment and machinery to verify efficient and safe operation.
  • Positions vehicles, machinery, equipment, physical structures, and other objects, for assembly or installation.
  • Examines and tests machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects and to ensure proper functioning.
  • Builds or erects and maintains physical structures.
  • Safely drive various vehicles. Obtain, as necessary, all moving permits, licenses, titles, safety checks, etc. as required by corporate policy, state or federal regulations or client requirements. 
  • This position is required to drive.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
