Tool Crib Attendant

Tool Crib Attendant- Bonita Springs Facility Job Purpose The primary purpose of a Tool Crib Attendant is to maintain control over tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are available, functional, and properly tracked. This role supports operational efficiency, prevents tool loss, and upholds safety standards by making sure workers have the correct tools at the right time. Key Responsibilities Tool Distribution and Tracking: Issue tools and equipment to employees, record checked-out items and accurately maintain inventory logs. Swiss SOP Set-up Process: Tooling is ready for set-ups in Swiss department. Verifying set-up carts and assigning them to set-up associates as part of the sign off process. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of tools, parts, and consumables; reorder or request replacements as needed to prevent shortages. Tool Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect tools for damage or wear, coordinate repair or replacement, and ensure all equipment is safe and in working condition. Record Keeping: Maintain database or manual logs for inventory, usage, and tool history; document discrepancies or lost items. Organizational Duties: Keep the tool crib or storage area organized, label items clearly, and ensure items are returned to their designated locations. Support Operational Teams: Assist production, maintenance, or construction staff by providing guidance on proper tool use and availability. Support Ready to Build Standard Process: Timely verification and complete tracker that tooling is available for planners to schedule jobs per SOP. Compliance and Safety: Follow company policies, safety guidelines, and industry regulations regarding tool handling and hazardous materials. Skills and Qualifications 1 year manufacturing experience; CNC experience preferred Knowledge of hand/power tools, measuring instruments, & equipment relevant to the industry. Basic computer or inventory software skills for tracking and reporting tools. Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities. Attention to detail to prevent losses and ensure safety. Good communication skills for interacting with team members and supervisors. Physical stamina and strength to handle tools and participate in lifting or moving items as needed.
